ASOCIATIA CULTURALA JADD

Founded in 2005, JADD is a non-profit cultural Association for promotion and diffusion of experimental, avant-jazz and improvised music.

The organization, which is based in Bucharest / Romania, promotes and supports artists working in free improvisation, experimental music and other new forms of art. JADD brings composers and musicians from across the world to present their work to local audiences. JADD is equally committed to helping Romanian composers and musicians realize special projects with potential impact on their careers. The organization commissions new works and encourages joint performances with visiting artists.

Our events include a long lasting collaboration with Jazz And More jazz festival in Sibiu, countless listening sessions under the name Clinical Jazz in different locations and venues in Bucharest such as Control Club and live concerts of musicians such as Ken Vandermark and Paal Nilssen Love, Talibam!, The Thing, Ilia Belorukov, Joe McPhee Survival Unit III, The EX, Volcano the Bear, Ab Baars/ Ig Henneman. Through events such as these we have created an emerging taste for this kind of music in the Romanian public. With substantial media coverage and the support of our partners we intend to keep nurturing our public following which is at present 150+ in average

Credo:
- to discover and promote the improvised contemporary music in Romania
- to be an alternative platform for the jazz and free improvisational music community in Romania
